An absolute shread-monster on the drum kit with decades of experience backing up absolute giants (Kutcher Edwards, Baker Boys, Madigan’s Wake) whilst constantly stealing the limelight. Brent’s had a long history behind the tools and in the last few years has moved into full time production.

The finest of all men, a Labrador in human form Brent is the greatest secret in music in Melbourne and beyond. One of the greatest producers you will ever have the pleasure of working with. Brent is a humble and modest genius that will pull sounds out of you that you didn’t know were possible all the time while feeling like a warm hug.

Will Petts

With a Bachelor of Audio Engineering degree from the distinguished Australian College of the Arts and having gained the enviable title of “COLLARTS’s Mixing Engineer of 2019”, Will Petts of WillMix brings his passion for music to the art of audio engineering.

In less than four years of working in the industry, Will Petts has earned the enviable position as the recording and mixing engineer for multiple Melbourne bands. While working alongside Dave Warner at the renowned Studio One.Be, he has honed his professional music industry skills.

With experience mixing across many musical genres, 

Will prides himself on his innate ability to discern and to manifest the wishes of the artist. This is expressed through his attention to detail, and his care for a collaborative process with the artist.

Will believes that the best music is produced when the artist and engineer work together to achieve their creative goal. Artists commissioning work from WillMix will receive the care and individual attention befitting their special project. Catering to all genres of music, a high-quality product is guaranteed.

David WArner

The owner and original custodian of Studio One.Be, Dave started out in the musical world playing drums before quickly finding his place as a singer in a few eclectic bands before settling in as the front man for Ground. He played and toured relentlessly until a vocal injury forced him off the stage. After some years away from the music industry he returned to start up a small studio in the spare room of his house (the first incarnation) before building the Fawkner studio.

Dave’s bread and butter is pre-production and live in the room recordings. He will push you to really consider your intent with your music and pull out the best performances you didn’t know you had in you. Dave sets an incredible tone within the studio to work with being free, relaxing and making you feel like you’ve always been a part of the woodwork.

With 8 years experience working with bands behind the tools Dave creates an incredibly collaborative and enjoyable space to be in. His recording and mixing styles revolve heavily around punchy live sounding drums, guitars and bass with huge body and high vocal clarity with a massive emphasis on live in the room recordings that sound like the band. 

PETER CARTER

Pete is a musician and engineer of over 20 years experience. In that time he has cultivated an eclectic range of skills across a vast array of genres including rock, pop, metal, ska, punk, folk and indie.

Pete's approach focuses on the artist and bringing the most organic and honest performances from every artist he works with through a holistic view to their recording project and working with them through the demoing, pre-production, recording and mixing process. 

Pete sets his sights high and brings the artist along for the ride helping them exceed their own expectations and delivering the outcomes that elevates their record and provides them the best chance of success.

Christian Schubert

Christian is a multi-instrumentalist who studied composition and production at AIM and has spent the last 3 years stealing every secret from Dave, Brent, and every other producer that walks through the door.

With one of the widest taste in music and a giant focus on helping artists unlock their music or take big ideas out of their heads an bring them to life through recording, arrangement and composition Christian takes an egoless approach to the studio wanting to make sure each artist that walks in the door loves each second they’re there and ends ups with a product that surprises even them.

With experience over bands, brass, strings, piano, voice work, voice overs and more Christian is a highly efficient producer who will make you feel at ease and a home but also put you to work.
